East Timor, located on half of Timor island, is 14 610 square kilometers wide. Among the Island of the Sonde Archipelago, between Malaysia and Melanesia, the island is 500 km far from Australia. The economy is mainly based on agriculture, fishing, oil and gas industry and the GDP reached 263 Million dollars in 2000.

SDV East Timor was the first International Freight Forwarder to be established in East Timor in the aftermarth of the destruction caused by militias after the referendum for Independence of August 1999. SDV East Timor has now grown to be the largest freight forwarder, shipping agent and customs broker in East Timor, contributing to the rebuilding of this new nation.


 

   

United Nations partnership in East Timor
For the 8th consecutive year, SDV East Timor will be this year again in charge of the freight forwarding of the United Nations.
