East Timor is the world newest country, having finally attained independence on the 20^th of May 2002 after 400 years of Portuguese colonialism, 24 years of Indonesian occupation, and 3 years of transition under administration of the United Nations.

SDV East Timor was created on 9^th November 1999, just as the international peacekeeping force INTERFET was deployed in the country together with the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET).

Since then, SDV East Timor has grown to be the largest freight forwarder, shipping agency and customs broker in East Timor, accompanying the development of this new nation. SDV International Logistics operates offices in Dili, the capital city of East Timor.
